BNSI experts train statisticians from Republic of Azerbaijan under Twinning project

Within the Twinning project AZ/14/ENP/ST/32 “Support to the State Statistical Committee in Harmonisation of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with European standards” in which the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria is Junior Member State Partner held its first study visit of public servants from the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The topic of the five days training (June 6 - 10 2016) is “Application of the SILC methodology and use of its data for poverty analyses”.

The National Statistical Institute started a project on building of statistical base and Information system for monitoring of European and national strategies and regional policy

The project ‘Building of statistical base and Information system for monitoring of European and national strategies and regional policy’ was presented at a press conference held in the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

The project is implemented with the financial support of Operational program ‘Good Governance’ 2014 - 2020 financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

The duration of the project is 18 months (December 2015 - May 2017) and amounts to 750 979 BGN.

The project ‘Regional Business Demography - 2015’ successfully completed

The National Statistics Institute has successfully completed the project ‘Regional Business Demography - 2015’ according to the European Commission grant agreement № 2015.CE.16.BAT.054.

In compliance with the signed contract between NSI and Directorate-General Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) to the Commission, NSI prepared regional business demography data for reference years 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Grant Agreement ‘Statistics for Family Businesses’

In February 2016, National Statistical Institute has started the project ‘Statistics for Family Businesses’, according to the European Commission grant agreement No. 692654 - 18/12/2015.

The contracting authority is the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). The project will be implemented within the Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs (COSME) 2014 - 2020, adopted by Regulation (EU) No. 1287/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2013.

Grant Agreement ‘Statistics on the Information Society 2016’

The National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Statistics on the Information Society 2016’ in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 06163.2015.001-2015.568. The project includes conducting of two separate surveys - ‘Survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals’ and ‘Survey on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises’.

The National Statistics Institute has started the project ‘ESS.VIP ESBRs 2015 Individual grants - Implementation of interoperable business registers’, according to the European Commission grant agreement No. 11172.2015.002-2015.505.

Eurostat and the European Statistical System (ESS) partners are working on the development of the national statistical business registers under the scope of the ESS VIP project European System of Interoperable Business Registers (ESBRs).
