The National Statistical Institute hosts the fourth study visit of experts from the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the twinning project AZ/14/ENP/ST/32 “Support to the State Statistical Committee in Harmonisation of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with EU standards”. The training is part of Component 4 on the project “Statistics on disabled and invalid persons” and its duration is five days (17 - 21 October 2016). The topic of the mission is “European Health and Social Integration Survey”.

In August 2016 the National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Setting up production processes for new indices of services production (ISP) - implementation of Short-term Statistics (STS)’ according to a Grant agreement 06131.2016.001-2016.218 of the European Commission.

    The National Statistical Institute hosts the third study visit in the framework of the twinning project AZ/14/ENP/ST/32 “Support to the State Statistical Committee in Harmonisation of the National Statistical System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with EU standards”. The training is in the field of tourism statistics and will last 5 days (4-8 July 2016). The topic of the mission is ‘Best international practices and improvement of Tourism statistics’.

    Within the Twinning project AZ/14/ENP/ST/32 “Support to the State Statistical Committee in Harmonisation of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with European standards” in which the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria is Junior Member State Partner held its first study visit of public servants from the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The topic of the five days training (June 6 - 10 2016) is “Application of the SILC methodology and use of its data for poverty analyses”.

    The project ‘Building of statistical base and Information system for monitoring of European and national strategies and regional policy’ was presented at a press conference held in the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

    The project is implemented with the financial support of Operational program ‘Good Governance’ 2014 - 2020 financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

    The duration of the project is 18 months (December 2015 - May 2017) and amounts to 750 979 BGN.

    The project ‘Regional Business Demography - 2015’ successfully completed

    The National Statistics Institute has successfully completed the project ‘Regional Business Demography - 2015’ according to the European Commission grant agreement № 2015.CE.16.BAT.054.

    In compliance with the signed contract between NSI and Directorate-General Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) to the Commission, NSI prepared regional business demography data for reference years 2011, 2012 and 2013.

    Grant Agreement ‘Statistics for Family Businesses’

    In February 2016, National Statistical Institute has started the project ‘Statistics for Family Businesses’, according to the European Commission grant agreement No. 692654 - 18/12/2015.

    The contracting authority is the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). The project will be implemented within the Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs (COSME) 2014 - 2020, adopted by Regulation (EU) No. 1287/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2013.
