The National Statistical Institute has started a project „Setting up production processes for new indices of services production - implementation of Sort-term Statistics

In August 2016 the National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Setting up production processes for new indices of services production (ISP) - implementation of Short-term Statistics (STS)’ according to a Grant agreement 06131.2016.001-2016.218 of the European Commission.
 
The activities foreseen to be executed in order the final goals of the project to be achieved are as follows:
  • Continuation of the work started in the framework of Grant 2014 on comparison, analysis and evaluation of administrative data from VAT declarations by months and activities with information available from existing monthly statistical turnover survey.
  • Continuation the work on the review, analysis and assessment of the existing methodological information for the production of adequate deflators for calculation of the Index of services production for each services activity in accordance with the expected STS requirements under FRIBS.
  • Calculation of monthly ISP for sections G, H to N (with the exception of K, M701, M72 and M75) of NACE Rev.2.

The general objective of the Grant project is to set up the process for regular compilation of monthly ISP at NACE Rev.2 section and division level, for all service activities that will be covered in the future as requirement for SBS under FRIBS.

The project duration is 18 months and is going to be completed in January 2018.
