The project is implemented with the financial support of Operational program ‘Good Governance’ 2014 - 2020 financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
The duration of the project is 18 months (December 2015 - May 2017) and amounts to 750 979 BGN.
The main objective of the project is to develop a statistical framework and procedures for collection and dissemination of information in order to optimize the processes of data exchange, accessibility and publicity of the information for regular monitoring and evaluation of national and European strategies and monitoring result indicators of operational programmes during the programming period 2014 - 2020.
As a result of its successful implementation the administrative capacity of the public administration will be improved, the strategic objectives of e-governance and sustainability of information provided by NSI to institutional users, civil society and business in order to assess the implementation of objectives for European and national strategies will be implemented.
According to Ms. Diana Yancheva - project leader and Deputy President of the NSI, ‘The successful implemented project will allow to more than 60 national and large number of European strategies to be monitored which will contribute to processes of strategic planning and management decision-making on the implementation of policies. The development of system implies active participation of civil society and media in processes of decision-making by providing them reliable and accessible source of statistical information.’ Ms. Yancheva acquainted representatives of the media with the main characteristics of the Information System ‘MonitorStat’ - centralized, web-based, bilingual with two main modules, and presented the project activities. Ms. Finka Denkova - project coordinator, gave an overview of some of the strategies which will be included in the scope of the system. The system will be with an open nature, which will ensure the sustainability of its functioning in updated status.
