NSI President Reneta Indjova, Ph.D. will participate in the 19th meeting of the European Statistical System Committee and will attend the first meeting of the European Statistical Forum

On 14 November 2013 the NSI President, Reneta Indjova, Ph.D. will participate in the 19th meeting of the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC) and on 15 November will attend the first meeting of the European Statistical Forum. Both events will be held at the premises of Eurostat in Luxembourg.

This is the fourth and the last ESSC meeting for the year. It is chaired by Eurostat and attended by the Heads of National Statistical Institutes of the EU Member States and representatives of ECB, OECD and EFTA countries.

Widening access to regional statistical information on the NSI website in thematic section "Regional Statistics"

In order to extend and facilitate user access to regional data the content of a thematic section "Regional Statistics" on the NSI website has been enhanced with more detailed statistical information. The most important indicators which highlight the specifics of administrative-territorial and territorial units in the country have been selected.

On 22 October 2013, the Deputy President of the National Statistical Institute, Mr. Tsvetarsky, will visit a conference dedicated to the Statistics day, which will be held in Vienna. The event is organized at a high level in order to develop new policies in a changing business statistics and economic globalization.

In relation to a request for technical assistance by the National Statistical Office of Algeria experts from the department of “Strategic planning, international projects and quality management” of NSI will provide training in the field of classifications and nomenclatures. The expert mission is going to take place on 17 and 18 September 2013 in the capital of Algeria.
