President of NSI will participate in the 44th session of UN Statistical Commission
The President of the National Statistical Institute, Mrs. Reneta Indjova, PhD, will take part in the most authoritative forum of the International Statistical System – the forty-fourth regular session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) which will take place at the UN Headquarters, New York, from 22 January to 1 March 2013. As of January 1st, 2013 Bulgaria is an elected member of UNSC.
Project "Improvement of water statistics - Improvement of internal data flow on water in Bulgaria"
NSI has started the project "Improvement of water statistics - Improvement of internal data flow on water in Bulgaria" in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 50303.2012.001-2012.550.
The objectives of the project are to synchronize administrative and statistical data flows on water in Bulgaria, improving the exchange and usability of administrative information for statistical purposes by applying principles of good statistical practice.
The NSI President Reneta Indjova, Ph.D. will participate in the 16th meeting of the European Statistical System Committee
The NSI President Reneta Indjova, Ph.D. will participate in the 16th meeting of the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC), which will be held in the premises of Eurostat in Luxembourg on 7 February 2013. This is the first out of four ESSC meetings for the calendar year, chaired by Eurostat and attended by the Heads of National Statistical Offices of the Member States and representatives of EFTA countries, ECB and OECD.
Project „Price statistics – methodological and practical improvements”
NSI has started a project with continuous actions “Price statistics – methodological and practical improvements”, in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 20601.2012.001-2012.286.
The project covers two main actions and will ensure the continuity of work, methodological and practical improvements on:
- А.1 “Multipurpose price statistics” - elaboration of methodology and production of indicative average prices of a set of products with harmonized characteristics.
New project of NSI “Linking micro-data on international sourcing and global value chains with other statistical repositories”
NSI launched a project “Linking micro-data on international sourcing and global value chains with other statistical repositories” which is carried out in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 30102.2012.006-2012.576.
The general objectives of the project are:
• Test and assessment of the micro data linking methodology, developed by the ESSnet on measuring global value chains;
Launched a project "Development of the data collection system and application of new methods for compilation of Physical Energy Flow Accounts"
Launched a project "Development of the data collection system and application of new methods for compilation of Physical Energy Flow Accounts"
The implementation of the project aims the adoption of Eurostat methodology and application of standardized methods, concepts and definitions contained in the Eurostat’s Draft Manual on Physical Energy Flow Accounts.
