NSI provides expertise on Energy Statistics to experts from 11 partner countries of INOGATE programme

On 5-7 November 2013 NSI will conduct a training workshop organized within the framework of the INOGATE Programme that supports energy policy cooperation between the European Union and the INOGATE partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The training will be chaired by Mr. Roeland Mertens - representative from Eurostat, Unit E5 Energy, and will be attended by: Ms. Gloria Aguinaldo - key expert of INOGATE Programme, representatives of the Technical Secretariat INOGATE, 22 experts from the partner countries, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Energy and the Sustainable Energy Development Agency, as well as experts from NSI.

The aim of the training workshop is participants to get acquainted with the Bulgarian experience in the field of energy statistics. The main topics on which the experts from the Energy and Transport Statistics Department will share their knowledge are:

• Legislation related to energy statistics

• Bulgarian energy data collection system

• Energy balances – main indicators

• Overall energy balance

• Annual questionnaires on energy products:Coal, Natural gas, Electricity and heat, Oil and oil products, Renewables and Wastes

• Europe 2020 indicators

• Electricity and Natural gas prices to the industry and households

• Results of the project “Development of detailed statistics on final energy consumption in households”
