The National Statistical Institute started working on the “Labour force survey ad hoc module 2014 on the labour market situation of migrants and their immediate descendants” project. The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission No. 07122.2013.007-2013.223.

The aim of the project is to provide internationally comparable data for analysis of the labour market situation of migrants and their immediate descendants, and in particular to provide data about:

• Social, economic and educational status of migrants.
• Extent to which the labour market situation of specific groups of migrants and their descendants differs from that of natives.
• Main obstacles that migrants and their descendants face in participating in the labour market.
The project duration is 19 months, ending in April 2015.
