NSI has started a project entitled “Learning mobility” implemented in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 07151.2013.001-2013.557. The main activity of the project is the pilot collection of data on learning mobility through a household survey conducted in 2014. The target population consists of all persons aged 18-34 who during their studies have had a minimum training period of two weeks abroad.

On February 12, 2014 at its regular meeting, the Council of Ministers by a decision adopted the Report on implementation of the National Statistical Programme and the activities of NSI in 2013 and the National Statistical Programme for 2014.

The National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria will participate in the 20^th meeting of the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC), which will be held in the premises of Eurostat in Luxembourg on 13 February 2014. This is the first out of four ESSC meetings for the calendar year, chaired by Eurostat and attended by the Heads of National Statistical Offices of the Member States and representatives of EFTA countries, ECB and OECD.

On 28 and 29 January 2014 in Sofia was held a working meeting on the project "Migration management and its influence in Southeast Europe - international activities for developing strategies based on evidence" (SEEMIG), which is implemented under the Operational Programme transnational cooperation "South East Europe 2007 - 2013" (http://www.southeast-europe.net/hu/).

The National Statistical Institute started working on the  “Modernising Intrastat”  project.The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with European Commission № 06142.2013.001 - 2013.508.

On 28 and 29 January 2014 the National Statistical Institute is hosting a meeting of the partners in the "Migration management and its influence in Southeast Europe - international activities for developing strategies based on evidence" (SEEMIG), which is implemented under Operational Programme for Transnational Cooperation "South East Europe 2007 - 2013" project - (http://www.southeast-europe.net/hu/).

On January 14, 2014, an agreement between NSI and the "Working Conditions" Fund was concluded for updating "Accidents" and "Occupational diseases" statistical systems according to European statistics on accidents at work (European statistics on Accidents at Work - ESAW) and the European statistics on occupational diseases (European Occupational Diseases Statistics - EODS).

NSI has started a project “Statistics on the information society 2014” implemented in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 06163.2013.003-2013.476. The project includes conducting of two separate surveys – “Survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals” and “Survey on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises”.

The National Statistical Institute started working on the “Food price monitoring mechanism, Methodological and practical improvements”; Improving the methodology and calculation on more detailed level indices of producer prices on the domestic market for food and drinks" project. The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission No. 04151.2013.002-2013.636.
