NSI training centre near Lovech opened for refugees

Refugees from Ukraine are to be accommodated in the hotel part of the training centre of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) in the village of Slivek, in the Lovech Region. In this way, NSI takes part in the campaign for the support of Ukrainian citizens who left their homes because of the war.

‘We wanted to help these people in a purely human way. It is good that we managed to quickly unite our efforts with the municipality of Lovech,’ said the NSI President, Sergey Tsvetarski.

The NSI passed a successful audit and was recertified according to the leading international standards for information security and quality management - ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. On January 19, the President of the Institute Mr. Sergey Tsvetarski received the Certificate for Integrated Management System from Mr. Kalin Panev, head of RINA Bulgaria.

The online seminar dedicated to the “Challenges faced by the official statistics during the COVID-19 pandemic” was organized by the National Statistical Institute of the Republic of Bulgaria (NSI) in accordance with the Action Plan for 2021 of the Working Group on Exchange of Statistical Data and Economic Information (WGESDEI) at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

Enumerator rounds last until 10th October

2 404 979 people distributed in 1 060 335 households got counted electronically by Census 2021 Information System.

1 082 314 people have registered as the greatest is the number of women of the group of ages 40 to 49 - 139 777.

The most are the people counted online in Sofia - 790 408 people which is a little more than 60% of the population of the capital city.

Deadline for enumerator rounds extended by 10 October

The enumerators will be able to visit households, buildings and dwellings until 8 p. m. on 10th October 2021. At its meeting today, the government amended Decision № 61 dated 21st January 2021 and extended the deadline for the enumerator rounds by one week.

36 hours left by online census end. Get counted electronically now!

There are another 36 hours by 24.00 on 30th September when the deadline for the online census expires. Until then citizens can get counted via the Census 2021 Information System. The e-census is faster and more comfortable and people do not need to wait for an enumerator.

As to 7 a.m. today 2 216 254 people distributed in 973 811 households were those counted online. There were also 114 000 not fully completed questionnaires then.
