By Order № KB - 179 of 25.04.2014, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Sergey Tsvetarsky - Deputy President of the National Statistical Institute, was appointed acting president of the National Statistical Institute.
Mr. Tsvetarsky is a graduate of the University of National and World Economy - Sofia. In his career in 1982, Mr. Tsvetarsky has held various expert and management positions at the NSI.
During his professional career Mr. Tsvetarsky has been involved in numerous projects of national and international significance.
Mr. Tsvetarsky is author of numerous scientific publications in the field of demographic statistics published in Bulgarian and foreign editions, which contributes to the development of statistical theory and practice.
