Employees under Labour Contract and Average Wages and Salaries in 2009
According to the preliminary data of National Statistical Institute (NSI) the number of employees under labour contract as compared to 2008 decreased by 2.5% and reached 2.41 millions. In comparison with 2008 the average annual wages and salaries in 2009 increased by 11.6% getting 7 296 BGN.
Activity of Non Financial Enterprises, 2009
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute the Value added, generated by non financial enterprises, in 2009 was nearly 34 315 million BGN, where the highest share have the Industry and Transport, communication and services.
Business Conjuncture, September 2010
In September the total business climate indicator decreases by 1.2 percentage points in comparison with its August level due to the more unfavorable compared to the previous month business climate in construction, retail trade and service sector.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents in Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors From Abroad to Bulgaria in August 2010
In August 2010, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 379.7 thousand, or 30.6% less than the number of the trips in August 2009. In August 2010, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 596.8 thousand or 11.3% more than the number of trips in the corresponding month of 2009.
Quarterly Labour Cost Index, Second Quarter 2010
Preliminary data for second quarter of 2010 indicated that total hourly labour cost rose by 8.2% compared to the second quarter of 2009.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in August 2010
The consumer price index (CPI) in August 2010 compared to July 2010 was 100.1%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.1%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in August 2010 compared to July 2010 was 100.2%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.2%.
Construction Production Indices in July 2010
By the preliminary data of the NSI, the total construction production in July 2010 decreased by 19.9% compared to the same month of the previous year. A drop by 28.2% was registered in the production of building construction, while in the civil engineering production fell by 4.6%.
Turnover Indices in ‘Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ in July 2010
In July 2010 according to the preliminary data the turnover in the trade sector fell by 5.7% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Industrial Production Indices and Industrial Turnover Indices in July 2010
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index decreased by 0.6% in July 2010 as compared to the same month of 2009, as compared to the previous month the production fell by 3.0%. Industrial Turnover Index increased by 15.1% compared to July 2009, as compared to the previous month the turnover decreased by 0.1%.
