Consumer Survey, April 2010
In April 2010 the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 6.4 percentage points in comparison with January 2010, which is due mostly to the increased confidence of urban inhabitants (by 8.5 percentage points) and to a lesser extent - of rural inhabitants (by 1.5 percentage points).
Construction Production Indices in March 2010
According to the preliminary data of the NSI the total construction production in March 2010 was 20.2% less compared to the same month of the previous year, while compared to February 2010 an increase by 20.9% was registered.
Industrial Production and Industrial Turnover Indexes, March 2010
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index increased by 1.7% in March 2010 as compared to the same month of 2009, as compared to the previous month the production rose by 21.1%. Industrial Turnover Index increased by 8.8% compared to March 2009, as compared to the previous month the turnover rose by 18.8%
Producer Price Indexes in Industry, March 2010
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in March 2010 increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2009 the domestic prices rose by 2.8%. Total Producer Price Index in Industry increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2009 the prices rose by 5.2%.
Business Conjuncture, April 2010
In April 2010 the total business climate indicator increases by 4.4 percentage points in comparison with the previous month. The improvement is due to the more favorable opinions of the managers in all of the sectors observed - industry, construction, retail trade and services.
Trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad and arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria in March 2010
In March 2010 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad was 283.8 thousand, which was 29.7% less than the number of the trips in March 2009
In March 2010, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 301.7 thousand or 9.8% less than the number of trips in the same month of 2009.
Investment Activity in Industry, March 2010
The investment business inquiry of NSI carried out among industrial enterprises in the second half of March 2010 gives information about the investments made by those enterprises in 2009 and their investments plans for 2010.
In 2009 the expenditures for acquiring fixed tangible and intangible assets in industry have decreased by 34.3% in nominal terms as compared to the previous year.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in 2009
According to the final data, 1 334.3 thousand Bulgarian residents travelled in the country or abroad in 2009. In 2009, the average expenditure per person of 15 years and over travelled domestic and outbound with private purpose were 189.2 BGN and 834.7 BGN respectively.
Construction Production Indices in February 2010
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, the construction production in February 2010 decreased by 30.0% compared to the same month of the previous year. The significant influence on the total Construction Production Index had the production of the building construction, which dropped by 36.6%.
Industrial Production and Industrial Turnover Indexes, February 2010
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index decreased by 9.1% in February 2010 as compared to February 2009, as compared to the previous month the production decreased by 2.9%. Industrial Turnover Index decreased by 5.1% compared to February 2009, as compared to the previous month the turnover increased by 1.3%.
