Indices of producer prices and means of production in agriculture, second quarter of 2010
The index of producer prices in agriculture decreases by 4.6% in the second quarter of 2010 as compared to the same quarter 2009. Decreases were registered in the crop production by 9.8%, and in the livestock the prices are at the same level as the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The index of prices of means of production used in agriculture in the second quarter of 2010 is 1.7% below the same quarter of 2009.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments for the period April - June 2010
In the second quarter of 2010, 3 138 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments in the second quarter of 2010 fell by 51 thousand (1.3%) to 3 763.1 thousand compared to same period in 2009.
Gross Domestic Product for the Second Quarter of 2010 – Flash Estimates
The flash GDP estimates for the second quarter of 2010 decreased by 1.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in July 2010
The consumer price index (CPI) in July 2010 compared to June 2010 was 100.4%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.4%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in July 2010 compared to June 2010 was 100.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%.
Construction Production Indices in June 2010
By the preliminary data of the NSI, the total construction production in June 2010 was 17.5% less than the same month of the previous year. A drop by 26.2% was registered in the production of building construction, while in the civil engineering production the decrease was 1.4%.
Turnover Indices in ‘Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles’, June 2010
By preliminary data in June 2010, the turnover in the trade sector decreased by 10.5% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Industrial Production Indices and Industrial Turnover Indices in June 2010
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index increased by 3.6% in June 2010 as compared to the same month of 2009, as compared to the previous month the production rose by 11.5%. Industrial Turnover Index increased by 15.9% compared to June 2009, as compared to the previous month the turnover rose by 8.0%.
Employees under Labour Contract and Average Wages and Salaries, Second Quarter of 2010
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) at the end of June 2010 the number of employees under labour contract increased by 1.7% as compared to the end of March 2010 and reached to 2.23 millions. In second quarter of 2010 in comparison with the first quarter of 2010 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 3.4% getting 640 levs.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries – Preliminary Data, June 2010
In the first half of 2010 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 44.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 5.4 billion levs.
Bulgarian imports from third countries for the first half of 2010 increased by 7.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 7.1 billion levs.

During the period January - May 2010 the Bulgarian exports to EU increased by 12.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 6.3 billion levs.
Bulgarian imports from EU for the period January - May 2010 increased by 0.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 8 billion levs.
