Launched a project "Development of the data collection system and application of new methods for compilation of Physical Energy Flow Accounts"
The implementation of the project aims the adoption of Eurostat methodology and application of standardized methods, concepts and definitions contained in the Eurostat’s Draft Manual on Physical Energy Flow Accounts.
Physical energy flow accounts will be included in the existing EU legislation on environmental accounts - Regulation 691/2011 on the European environmental economic accounting.
The main objective of the project is the compilation of a set of physical energy flow accounts (PEFA) for the 2012-1013 for natural energy inputs, energy products and energy residuals by economic activities according to the Classification of Economic Activities (NACE, Rev. 2).
The project duration is 24 months, ending at the end of 2014.
