Business Conjuncture, November 2019
In November 2019, the total business climate indicator increases by 1.2 percentage points in comparison with October which is due to the improved conjuncture in construction and retail trade.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in October 2019
In October 2019, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 473.3 thousand or by 4.1% above the registered in October 2018. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in October 2019 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 44.0%, followed by those with professional purpose - 28.7%, and with holiday and recreation purposes - 27.3%.
In October 2019, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 766.4 thousand or by 3.7% more in comparison with October 2018. In October 2019, the predominant share of the visits with other purposes was 45.4%, followed by trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 35.8%, and with professional purpose - 18.8%.
Turnover Indices in Services in the Third Quarter of 2019
According to the preliminary data for the third quarter of 2019 the total turnover index in section ‘Transportation, storage and post’, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data decreased by 0.6% compared to the second quarter of 2019. In section ‘Information and communication’ the turnover index grew by 3.2%.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in Third Quarter of 2019 (preliminary data)
In the third quarter of 2019, 1 733.9 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority (75.6%) of them travelled only within the country, 20.5% - only abroad and 3.9% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2018 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over decreased by 7.9%.
Price Indices in Agriculture, Third Quarter of 2019
The producer price index in agriculture in the third quarter of 2019 decreased by 4.6% in comparison with the same quarter of 2018. The crop output index decreased by 6.0% and the animal output index increased by 3.7%. In comparison with previous year, the prices of agricultural output went down by 2.0% as the decrease in crop output price index is by 3.4% and in animal output price index increase is by 2.8%.
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the third quarter of 2019 was by 0.9% higher compared to the same quarter of previous year and by 2.4% compared to 2018.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Third Quarter of 2019
The total income average per household member during the third quarter of 2019 is 1 716 BGN and increases by 11.3% compared to the same quarter of 2018.
The total expenditure average per household member during the third quarter of 2019 is 1 583 BGN and increases by 4.3% in comparison to the same quarter of 2018.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2019 increased by 0.3% in the EU-28 compared to the previous quarter by seasonally adjusted data. For the same period, GDP in Bulgaria increased by 0.7%.
Investment Activity in Industry, October 2019
The investment business inquiry of NSI carried out among industrial enterprises in October 2019 shows that the entrepreneurs expect the investments in the current year to be with 10.5% less in comparison with the previous 2018. The forecasts over 2020 are for a decrease of the volume of investments in industry by 9.1% compared to 2019.
