Business Conjuncture, December 2019
In December 2019, the total business climate indicator increases by 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous month as a result of the indicators’ improvement in industry, construction and service sector.
Environmental Statistics - Annual data for 2018
In 2018 the total use of freshwater and non-freshwater in the country is 4 647 million m3 which decreased with 1.8% compared to 2017. The daily average household water consumption from public water supply remains on the same level compared to 2017 - 99 litres per capita.
In 2018 the total value of tangible fixed assets with ecological use in the country amounted to 9 523.6 million BGN which compared to 2017 increased by 0.6%.
Quarterly Labour Cost Index, Third Quarter of 2019
Preliminary data of the NSI for the third quarter of 2019 indicate that the total hourly labour cost rose by 10.0% compared to the third quarter of 2018.
Economic Accounts for Agriculture for 2019 (First Estimation)
According to the first estimate of Economic Accounts for Agriculture the final output at basic prices of the agricultural industry in 2019 amounted to 8 318.0 million BGN, which was by 1.7% lower than in previous year.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in November 2019
The consumer price index in November 2019 compared to October 2019 was 100.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%.
Consumption per capita in purchasing power standards in 2018
Consumption per capita varied between 56% and 134% of the EU average.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - September 2019 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2019 the Bulgarian exports to the EU grew by 3.3 % compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 29 049.1 Million BGN while the imports from the EU increased by 2.2% and reached 30 209.7 Million BGN.
In September 2019 the exports to the EU increased insignificantly compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 233.8 Million BGN while the imports grew by 0.3% and added up to 3 243.7 Million BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - October 2019 (preliminary data)
In the period January - October 2019 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries increased by 5.8% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 16 026.9 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries decreased by 10.7% and added up to 17 048.6 Million BGN.
In the period January - October 2019 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 48 702.6 Million BGN, which is 4.2% more than the same period of 2018, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 51 157.1 Million BGN and dropped by 2.2%.
Activity of accommodation establishments in October 2019
In October 2019, 1 960 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 68.4 thousand and the bed-places were 142.7 thousand. In comparison with October 2018, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 2.5%, and the bed-places in them - by 6.4%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in October 2019 was 910.4 thousand, or by 0.2% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in October 2019 reached 51.9 million BGN or by 4.0% more compared to October 2018.
Construction Production Indices in October 2019
According to the preliminary data, in October 2019 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.1% above the level of the previous month. In October 2019 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 3.1% in comparison with the same month of 2018.
