Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings, Third Quarter 2009
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, in the third quarter of 2009 the newly built residential buildings were 685 and marked an insignificant increase of 0.9% compared to the second quarter of 2009. The number of the new dwellings in them decreased by 674 compared to the previous quarter of 2009 and reached a number of 5 214.
Producer Price Indexes in Industry, October 2009
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in October 2009 fell by 0.4% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2008 the domestic prices fell by 8.3%. Total Producer Price Index in Industry decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month, compared to October 2008 the prices decreased by 9.4%.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport, Third Quarter 2009
During the third quarter of 2009 according to preliminary data in comparison with April-June period is observed growth at goods carriages in transport as all. The goods carried increased by 18.7%, and performance in tonnekilometres increased only by 2.7%. But over the corresponding period of 2008 is registered dip by 7.7% for carried goods and 17.7% for performance. During the third quarter of 2009 transported passengers are with 4.5% less than the passengers in the second quarter of the same year and with 6.8% less then transported passengers during the corresponding period at last year. Performance in passengerkilometres increased with 4.5% over last three months, but in comparison with corresponding third quarter at last year performance notes dip by 16.8%.

The total business climate indicator increases by 0.4 percentage points in comparison with October due to the better than the previous month business climate in the service sector and in industry.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-Related Expenditures of Population, Third Quarter 2009
According preliminarily data, 1 804 thousand Bulgarian residents travelled to the country or abroad in the third quarter of 2009. In the third quarter of 2009, the average expenditure per person of 15 years and over travelled domestic and outbound with private purpose were 280.7 BGN and 1116.3 BGN respectively.
Trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad and arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria, October 2009
The number of the trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad was 361.9 thousand in October 2009, which was 19.8% less than the number of the trips in October 2008.
In October 2009, the number of the arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 454.2 thousand or 2.6% less than the number of the trips in the same month of 2008.
Building Permits Issued for Construction of New Buildings, Third Quarter 2009
In the third quarter of 2009 the municipal authorities have issued building permits for construction of 1 783 residential buildings with 5 209 dwellings, of 84 administrative buildings/offices and 1 289 other buildings.

The goods carried by the railway transport in October 2009 are by 20.1 % more than in the previous month, while as to the same month of 2008 there is a decrease by 30.7 %. In the passenger traffic, the total number of passenger carried decreased by 0.5% compared to the previous month, while in comparison with September 2008, there is a decrease by 8.6%.

The investment business inquiry of NSI carried out among industrial enterprises in the second half of October 2009 indicates that the industrial entrepreneurs expect in the current year to make 37.2% less investments than 2008.
