Environmental Statistics - Annual data for 2009
The National Statistical institute has the pleasure to present to the attention of its users results from the annual surveys in the field of environmental statistics for 2009.
Poverty and social inclusion indicators
Bulgaria falls among the countries with the highest percentage of persons at risk of poverty in the EU together with Latvia, Romania, Greece, Lithuania, Spain and Estonia.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in November 2010
The consumer price index (CPI) in November 2010 compared to October 2010 was 100.7%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.7%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in November 2010 compared to October 2010 was 100.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%.
Construction Production Indices in October 2010
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, the production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, registered a decrease by 0.1% in October 2010, compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in October 2010
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index , seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.6% in October 2010 as compared to September 2010. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 4.3% as compared to the same month of 2009.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - October 2010 (preliminary data)
In the period January - October 2010 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 47% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 9.6 billion levs while the imports increased by 11.7% and reached to 12.4 billion levs
In the period January - October 2010 the total value of the exported goods was for 24.8 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2009 the exports increased by 31.6% while the total value of the imported goods were for 29.9 billion levs and increased by 8.9%.
Gross Domestic Products in the Third Quarter of 2010
In the third quarter of 2010 GDP at current prices amounts to 19 403 million levs. In Euro terms GDP reaches to 9 920.6 million euro or 1 319.8 euro per person. According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2010 is 0.7% compared with the second quarter of the year and 0.5% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - September 2010 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2010 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 23.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 13.4 billion levs while the imports increased by 6.6% and amounted to 15.5 billion levs.
In September 2010 the exports to the EU increased by 22.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and reached to 1.7 billion levs while the imports increased by 10.1% and amounted to 1.9 billion levs.
Newly Built Residential Buildings and Dwellings Completed in the Third Quarter of 2010
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, in the third quarter of 2010 the newly built residential buildings were 598 and compared to the respectively quarter of 2009 decreased by 15.1%. The newly built dwellings in them decreased by 21.0% and their number was 4 360.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, October 2010
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in October 2010 rose by 0.1% comparing to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2009 the domestic prices grew by 10.1%. Total Producer Price Index in Industry decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2009 the prices rose by 10.2%.
