In January 2020, the total business climate indicator increases by 1.4 percentage points in comparison with December 2019, which is due to the improved business conjuncture in industry.

In December 2019, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 529.3 thousand or by 10.6% above the registered in December 2018. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in December 2019 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 48.1%, followed by those with holiday and recreation purposes - 28.5%, and with professional purpose - 23.4%.
In December 2019, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 673.4 thousand or by 8.6% more in comparison with December 2018. In December 2019, the predominant share of the visits with other purposes was 46.9%, followed by trips with holiday and recreation purpose - 34.9%, and with professional purpose - 18.2%.
The consumer price index in December 2019 compared to November 2019 was 100.7%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.7%.
In the period January - November 2019 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries increased by 4.5% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 17 549.7 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries decreased by 12.5% and added up to 18 507.3 Million BGN.
In the period January - November 2019 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 53 758.2 Million BGN, which is 3.7% more than the same period of 2018, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 56 324.9 Million BGN and dropped by 2.9%.
In the period January - October 2019 the Bulgarian exports to the EU grew by 3.4% compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to 32 681.1 Million BGN while the imports from the EU increased by 2.6% and reached 34 112.7 Million BGN.
In October 2019 the exports to the EU increased by 4.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 632.0 Million BGN while the imports grew by 6.2% and added up to 3 903.0 Million BGN.
In November 2019, 1 838 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 53.7 thousand and the bed-places were 108.7 thousand. In comparison with November 2018, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 0.3%, and the bed-places in them - by 1.0%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in November 2019 was 762.9 thousand, or by 11.4% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in November 2019 reached 42.8 million BGN or by 12.0% more compared to November 2018.
According to the preliminary data, in November 2019 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.8% below the level of the previous month. In November 2019 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 1.3% in comparison with the same month of 2018.
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in November 2019 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
According to the preliminary data in November 2019 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, fell by 1.0% as compared to October 2019. In November 2019 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index decreased by 0.4% in comparison with the same month of 2018.
