Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - October 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January – October 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 11.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 13.9 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 12.8% and added up to 17.3 Billion Levs.
In the first ten months of 2012 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 33.8 Billion Levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports increased by 2.2% while the total value of all imported goods reached 41.6 Billion Levs and grew by 10.8%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - September 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 2.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 and amounted to 17.8 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 10.4% and added up to 21.7 Billion Levs.
In September 2012 the exports to the EU decreased by 4.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.1 Billion Levs while the imports decreased by 2.5% and added up to 2.3 Billion Levs.
Construction Production Indices in October 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in October 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 2.2% above the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in October 2012
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.4% in October 2012 as compared to September 2012. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 4.1% in October 2012 in comparison with the same month of 2011.
Gross Domestic Product for the Third Quarter of 2012
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2012 is 0.5% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, October 2012 (preliminary data)
Production of solid fuels in October 2012 compared to September 2012 increases by 2.8%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 11.8% and transport diesel - by 11.4%. A decrease is reported for the production of electricity by 5.7%. There is no change in the production of liquefied petroleum gases.
Deliveries of solid fuels in October 2012 compared to September 2012 increase by 3.2% and electricity - by 3.9%. A decrease is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases by 14.3%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 16.0%, transport diesel - by 24.3% and natural gas - by 0.6%.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, October 2012
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in October 2012 increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2011 the domestic prices grew by 6.9%. Total Producer Price Index fell by 0.2% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2011 the prices went up by 6.8%.
Business Conjuncture, November 2012
In November 2012 the total business climate indicator increases by 0.9 percentage points compared to its October level. A better business climate is registered in industry (by 3.5 percentage points) and service sector (by 3.6 percentage points), while in construction and retail trade have certain deterioration of the business conjuncture (respectively by 5.3 and 1.2 percentage points).
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in October 2012
In October 2012 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 281.5 thousand or by 15.7% less than in September 2012 and by 4.9% under the registered in October 2011. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 47.2%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 29.3% and with professional purpose - 23.5%. The number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 524.0 thousand which was by 51.6% less compared to September 2012 and by 3.0% above the level from October 2011. An increase in the visit with holiday and recreation purpose - by 7.3% and with professional purpose - by 3.8% was registered, while the visit with other purposes decreased by 1.0%.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport in the Third Quarter of 2012 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data during the second quarter of 2012 in comparison with the same period of 2011 an increase in the transported goods by 13.4% was observed, while the transport performance fell by 6.4%. Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year both - the transported passengers and the transport performance, decreased by 0.1 and 3.7%, respectively.
