Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in December 2012

In December 2012 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 243.6 thousand or by 3.5% less than in November 2012 and by 5.9% under the registered in December 2011.
The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 58.8%, followed by the trips with professional purpose - 22.3% and with holiday and recreation purposes - 18.9%.
The number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 397.2 thousand which was by 1.8% less compared to November 2012 and by 1.2% above the level from December 2011. An increase in the visit with holiday and recreation purpose - by 8.3% and with professional purpose - by 6.3% was registered, while the arrivals with other purposes decreased by 5.8%.

Activity of Accommodation Establishments in November 2012

In November 2012, 1 653 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. In comparison with the previous month the total number of accommodation establishments decreased by 6.9% and the bed-places in them - by 28.4%. The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments amounted to 502.7 thousands as 360.7 thousands of them were spent by Bulgarian residents and 142.0 thousands - by foreigners. The total revenues from nights spent in November reached 24.3 Million BGN or by 17.0% less compared to October 2012.

Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - November 2012 (preliminary data)

In the period January – November 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 13.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 15.6 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 11.1% and added up to 19.0 Billion Levs.
In the first eleven months of 2012 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 37.7 Billion Levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports increased by 3.1% while the total value of all imported goods reached 46.0 Billion Levs and grew by 9.8%.

Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - October 2012 (preliminary data)

In the period January - October 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 3.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 and amounted to 19.9 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 9.5% and added up to 24.3 Billion Levs.
In October 2012 the exports to the EU decreased by 7.9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.1 Billion Levs while the imports increased by 2.9% and added up to 2.6 Billion Levs.

Business Conjuncture, December 2012

In December 2012 the total business climate indicator increases by 0.7 percentage points compared to its level from the previous month. In construction and retail trade the business climate rises by 3.6 and 6.4 percentage points respectively and in industry keeps approximately its November level. Only in service sector the business conjuncture is worsened (by 5.9 percentage points).

Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, November 2012 (preliminary data)

Production of liquefied petroleum gases in November 2012 compared to October 2012 increases by 9.1% and electricity - by 13.2%. A decrease is reported for the production of solid fuels by 17.9%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 8.7%, transport diesel - by 12.5% and natural gas - by 19.4%.

Deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases in November 2012 compared to October 2012 increase by 3.3%, transport diesel - by 26.7%, natural gas - by 46.8% and electricity - by 16.4%. A decrease is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels by 17.6% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 38.1%.
