Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - May 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - May 2014 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 14.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 6.1 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 5.2% and added up to 7.8 Billion BGN.
In the period January - May 2014 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 16.4 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2013 the exports decreased by 5.4% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 20.1 Billion BGN and decreased by 0.1%.

Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - April 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - April 2014 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 0.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 8.3 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 4.6% and added up to 9.9 Billion BGN.
In April 2014 the exports to the EU decreased by 3.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and added up to 2.1 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 0.6% and amounted to 2.6 Billion BGN.

Construction Production Indices in May 2014
According to the preliminary data, in May 2014 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 1.7% above the level of the previous month. In May 2014 the working day adjusted index of production in construction an increased by 6.2% in comparison with the same month of 2013.

According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.7% in May 2014 as compared to April 2014. In May 2014 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 4.9% in comparison with the same month of 2013.

Producer Price Indices in Industry, May 2014
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in May 2014 increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the domestic prices fell by 0.7%. Total Producer Price Index rose by 0.3% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2013 the prices went down by 0.9%.

Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, April 2014
In April 2014 compared to March 2014 an increase of the production of solid fuels by 13.6% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the production of electricity - by 3.1% is reported. Production of petroleum products is recovered after the planned repair done in March 2014. No change for the production of natural gas is reported.
In April 2014 compared to March 2014 an increase of the deliveries of solid fuels by 10.9%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 30.0% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 72.4% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the deliveries of transport diesel - by 9.2%, natural gas - by 15.4%, and electricity - by 9.6% is reported.

Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in May 2014
In May 2014, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 427.5 thousand or by 18.1% above the registered in May 2013. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in May 2014 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 42.7%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 31.8%, and with professional purpose - 25.5%.
In May 2014, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 678.1 or by 8.2% above the level of May 2013. An increase was registered in all observed purposes: with professional purpose - by 9.7%, with other purposes - by 8.7% and with holiday and recreation purpose - by 7.4%.
