Activity and condition of accommodation establishments during the state of emergency and the ensuing epidemic situation in May 2020
In June 2020, the National Statistical Institute has continued for third time in a row the monthly inquiry survey of the managers of accommodation establishments to gather accurate and timely information on the state and development of their businesses during the state of emergency and the ensuing epidemic situation in the country.

Preliminary data of the NSI for the first quarter of 2020 indicate that the total hourly labour cost rose by 10.2% compared to the first quarter of 2019.

Agricultural Land Prices and Rents in Agriculture in the Republic of Bulgaria in 2019
The average price per one decar arable land in 2019 in Bulgaria reached BGN 1053 and per one decar hired/leased arable land - BGN 49. In comparison to the previous year in the price of land transactions increase by 7.4% was reported, while the price of rental payments was lower by 2%.

In-patient, Out-patient and Other Health Care Establishments as of 31.12.2019
The number of health establishments for hospital aid as of 31.12.2019 was 341 with 53 997 beds. 319 of them were hospitals with 51 776 beds.
The number of out-patient health establishments was 2 079 with 1 223 beds and other health establishments were 144 with 1 914 beds in them.
At the end of 2019 29 612 physicians were in practice under the basic labour contracts in health establishments. Dentists were 7 376, as 6 493 worked in practices that had signed contract with National Health Insurance Fund. Medical specialists on ‘Health cares’ who worked on a basic labour contract in health establishments were 46 491. 30 546 of them were nurses and 3 269 - midwives.

The consumer price index in May 2020 compared to April 2020 was 99.7%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.3%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - March 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - March 2020 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 0.1% compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 9 268.4 Million BGN while the imports from the EU dropped by 0.9% and reached 9 521.4 Million BGN.
In March 2020 the exports to the EU decreased by 9.2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2 877.5 Million BGN while the imports dropped by 8.8% and added up to 3 206.8 Million BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in the Period January - April 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - April 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 4.2% compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 6 302.6 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries dropped by 7.4% and added up to 7 541.1 Million BGN.
In the period January - April 2020 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 18 008.2 Million BGN, which is 4.8% less than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 19 349.6 Million BGN and dropped by 8.5%.
Bulgaria and EU: Gross Domestic Product, first quarter of 2020 (preliminary estimates)
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2020 decreased by 3.2% in EU compared to the previous quarter by seasonally adjusted data. For the same period, GDP in Bulgaria increased by 0.3%.
