Situation of the non-financial enterprises in the epidemic situation in JuLy 2021
Main results from the short business survey amongst the non-financial enterprises, aiming at presenting information on the economic effects from the declared state of emergency and the ensuing epidemic situation in the country due to COVID-19.
The European System of Integrated Social Protection Statistics (ESSPROS), 2019
In 2019, Bulgaria spent 19 918.5 million BGN for social protection. Тo finance social protection in the country, 8 129.0 million BGN were allocated from the state budget while the receipts of social protection contributions amounted to 13 258.3 million BGN.
Turnover Indices in Services in the Second Quarter of 2021
According to the preliminary data for the second quarter of 2021 the total turnover index in section ‘Transportation, storage and post’, calculated on the basis of seasonally adjusted data, increased by 0.9% compared to the first quarter of 2021. In section ‘Information and communication’ the turnover index increased by 4.7%.
Tourist Trips and Tourism-related Expenditure of the Population in Second Quarter of 2021 (preliminary data)
In the second quarter of 2021, during the continuing epidemic situation in the country, 931.7 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips. The majority - 93.0% of them travelled only within the country, 6.1% - only abroad, and 0.9% - both in the country and abroad.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the Second Quarter of 2021
The total income average per household member during the second quarter of 2021 is 1 894 BGN and increases by 11.6% compared to the same quarter of 2020.
The total expenditure average per household member during the second quarter of 2021 is 1 666 BGN and increases by 20.3% in comparison to the same quarter of 2020.
The consumption of main food products average per household member does change during the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of 2020.

According to the seasonally adjusted data GDP has a growth of 9.6% in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Main Labour Force Survey Results, Second Quarter of 2021
In the second quarter of 2021 the unemployment rate was 5.6%, and the employment rate of population aged 20 - 64 was 72.7%.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in July 2021
The consumer price index in July 2021 compared to June 2021 was 100.8%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.8%.
Price Indices in Agriculture, Second Quarter of 2021
The producer price index in agriculture in the second quarter of 2021 increased by 10.4% in comparison with the same quarter of 2020. The price index of crop output increased by 20.4% while the animal output decreased by 1.9%. In comparison with the previous year, the prices of the agricultural output went up by 8.1%. In crop output the prices increased by 17.1%, while in animal output decrease was registered - by 3.0%.
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the second quarter of 2021 was higher by 9.6% compared to the same quarter of the previous year and by 7.7% compared to 2020.
Employees under Labour Contract and Gross Average Wages and Salaries, Second Quarter of 2021
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute at the end of June 2021, the number of employees under labour contract increased by 1.9% as compared to the end of March 2021 and reached 2.31 million.
In the second quarter of 2021, in comparison with the first quarter of 2021 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 4.3% getting 1 525 BGN.
