Statistical concepts and definitions | The post stations and postal agencies are places where postal services for the population are provided. Post station (post) - is a building where letters and parcels are received, storage, redistributed and delivered. PO boxes, which are used from citizens and firms that do not have permanent address or do not want to receive their mail at home are situated there. Postal agencies - are offices of the providers of universal postal services and serve as places for receiving, storage and delivery of letters and parcels as well for postal orders. PO boxes - are used from citizens and firms that do not have permanent address or do not want to receive their mail at home. They are situated in the post stations or postal agencies. |

Activity of Non Financial Enterprises for 2023 (preliminary data)
Annual reports on their activity for 2023 were submitted at the National Statistical Institute (NSI) by 461 819 non-financial enterprises, which was 2.7% more compared to 2022. The number of persons employed in full-time equivalent in the non-financial enterprises was 2 217 960 or 1.4% more than the previous year. The non-financial enterprises generated 288 962 million BGN of the value of output at current prices and reported a positive financial result of 35 809 million BGN (the data are preliminary).

Annual reports on their activity for 2022 were submitted at the National Statistical Institute (NSI) by 448 409 non-financial enterprises, which was 8.6% more compared to 2021. The number of persons employed in full-time equivalent in the non-financial enterprises was 2 220 091 or 4.3% more than the previous year. 412 119 were the non-financial enterprises in Bulgaria that submitted an annual report on their activity for 2021 at the National Statistical Institute (NSI), which was only 0.1% more compared to 2020.
