NSI launched a project ‘Micro-data linking of Structural Business Statistics and other business statistics’ in implementation of Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 03121.2015.001-2015.190.

The general objectives of the project are:

 Development and extension of the micro-data linking (MDL) of structural business statistics and other business statistics;

 Set up of new MDL databases including data from 6 sources (Structural business statistics - SBS, International Trades in Goods Statistics - ITGS, Community survey on ICT Usage - ICT, Foreign Affiliate Statistics - FATS, Business Demography - BD and Global Value Chain - GVC) for the period 2008 - 2013;

 Assessing the feasibility to link ITGS, BD and SBS and produce Trade (in goods) by Enterprise Characteristics (TEC), BD and SBS statistics for 4 types of enterprises, according their age and growth rate, active in ITGS;

 Linking of Research and Development (R&D) statistics with SBS and BD.

Micro-data linking provides an opportunity to produce new information and to develop new indicators both by using existing data sets and by combining these with new data collections.

The duration of the project is 12 months and it will be completed in December 2016.
