According to the first estimate of Economic Accounts for Agriculture the final output at basic prices in 2018 amounted to 8 077.2 million BGN, which was by 2% lower than in previous year. The decrease was mainly due to drop in the volumes - by 3.1%.
Gross value added at basic prices produced in agriculture in 2018 was estimated at 3 404.7 million BGN and was by 9.5% lower than in 2017. The decrease was due to fall in the prices - by 1.2%, and in the volumes - by 8.4%.
Consumption per capita varied between 54 and 132% of the EU average.
In October 2018, 2 011 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 72.4 thousand and the bed-places were 152.5 thousand. In comparison with October 2017, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) increased by 2.7% and the bed-places in them decreased by 1.2%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in October 2018 was 908.5 thousand, or by 5.1% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in October 2018 reached 49.9 million BGN or by 11.5% more compared to October 2017.
The consumer price index in November 2018 compared to October 2018 was 99.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.1%.
In the period January - September 2018 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to the EU increased by 10.1% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 28 147.5 Million BGN while the imports of goods grew by 8.2% and added up to 29 594.3 Million BGN.
In September 2018 the exports of goods to the EU increased by 2.4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 226.1 Million BGN while the imports of goods increased by 4.5% and added up to 3 234.7 Million BGN.
In the period January - October 2018 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 12.9% compared to the same period of 2017 and amounted to 14 442.9 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries increased by 9.2% and added up to 19 105.6 Million BGN.
In the period January - October 2018 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 46 039.8 Million BGN, which is 1.4% more than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods added up to 52 343.2 Million BGN and grew by 8.1%.
According to the preliminary data, in October 2018 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 3.3% above the level of the previous month. In October 2018 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 1.8% in comparison with the same month of 2017.
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in October 2018 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.5% compared to the previous month.
