Employees under Labour Contract and Average Wages and Salaries, Second Quarter of 2011
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) at the end of June 2011 the number of employees under labour contract increased by 2.3% as compared to the end of March 2011 and reached to 2.20 millions. In second quarter of 2011 in comparison with the first quarter of 2011 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 4.2% getting 699 levs.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - June 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2011 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 35.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and exceeded 7.2 billion levs while the imports increased by 27.8% and reached to 9.0 billion levs
In the period January - June 2011 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 18.8 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2010 the exports increased by 40.3% while the total value of all imported goods was 21.1 billion levs and increased by 23.3%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - May 2011 (preliminary data)
In the period January - May 2011 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 48.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 9.6 billion levs while the imports increased by 24.3% and amounted to 10.1 billion levs.
In May 2011 the exports to the EU increased by 38.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.0 billion levs while the imports increased by 22.1% and amounted to 2.3 billion levs.
Construction Production Indices in June 2011
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in June 2011 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.5% below the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in June 2011
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted decreased by 1.5% in June 2011 as compared to May 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 2.2% as compared to the same month of 2010.
Consumer Survey, July 2011
In July 2011 the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 1.3 percentage points which is due to the increase by 1.9 percentage points of confidence among the urban inhabitants. The value of the indicator for the rural inhabitants registers a drop of 0.5 percentage points.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Second Quarter of 2011
In the second quarter of 2011, the municipal authorities have issued building permits for construction of 1 319 residential buildings with 3 032 dwellings, of 67 administrative buildings/offices with and 1 375 other buildings. The construction of 732 residential buildings with 2 127 dwellings, of 36 administrative buildings/offices and 678 other buildings has been started.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, June 2011
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in June 2011 increased by 0.1% comparing to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2010 the domestic prices grew by 10.1%. Total Producer Price Index fell by 0.3% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2010 the prices rose by 9.0%.
Business Conjuncture, July 2011
In July 2011 the total business climate indicator increases by 0.7 percentage points compared to its level from the previous month. Improvement is observed in industry, construction and retail trade, while in service sector - deterioration.
