Construction Production Indices in April 2011
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in April 2011 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data, was 2.7% below the level recorded the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in April 2011
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted increased by 1.5% in April 2011 as compared to March 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 9.4% as compared to the same month of 2010.
Household Income, Expenditure and Consumption during the First Quarter of 2011
The average quarterly total income average per household member during the first quarter of 2011 is 868 Levs or by 2.1% less compared to the same quarter of 2010.
The total expenditure per household member during the first quarter of 2011 is 775 Levs and it increases by 1.4% in relation to the same quarter of 2010.
The consumption of main food products average per capita doesn’t change during the first quarter of 2011 compared to the first quarter of 2010.
In-patient, Out-patient and Other Health Care Establishments in 2010
347 establishments for hospital aid with 48 944 beds are functioning in the country at the end of 2010. The number of hospitals is 313 with 45 842 beds. The number of out-patient health establishments is 1 613 with 938 beds and other health establishments are 183 with 4 570 beds.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, April 2011
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in April 2011 rose by 0.6% comparing to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2010 the domestic prices grew by 10.7%. Total Producer Price Index in Industry increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2010 the prices rose by 12.5%.
Business Conjuncture, May 2011
In May 2011 the total business climate indicator preserves its level from the previous month, as the inquiry registers a worsening of the business conjuncture only in industry.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in April 2011
In April 2011, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents in abroad was 344.9 thousand or 1.4% more than the number of the trips in April 2010. In April 2011, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 537.2 thousand or 3.3% more than the number of trips in the corresponding month of 2010.
Crimes, Accused Persons and Persons Convicted in Second Semester of 2010
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute for the second semester of 2010, the number of persons convicted with penalties come into force amounted to 16 052 as in comparison with the same period of 2009 a decrease by 5.5% is observed (See Annex).
The number of accused person is 18 408. At the same time the number of persons with effective sentence of conviction amounted to 9 793 (53.2% of the total number of convicted persons. Conditionally sentenced are 6 259 persons that presents 34.0% of the total number of accused persons.
In second semester of 2010 the trials ended with inflicted penalty cover 14 341 committed crimes that are by 7.8% more in comparison with the same period of 2009.
Main Labour Force Survey Results, First Quarter 2011
In the first quarter of 2011 the employment rate of population aged 15 - 64 recorded a fall by 1.5 percentage points compared to the first quarter of 2010 and stood at 57.3%. For the same period the unemployment rate went up by 1.8 percentage points to 12.0%.
Goods and Passengers Carried and Transport Performance by Mode of Transport, First Quarter 2011
According to preliminary data during the first quarter of 2011 in comparison with the corresponding period in 2010 аn increase at goods carriages in transport was observed. The goods carried increased by 29.1% and the transport performance in tonnekilometres by 16.2%. In comparison with corresponding period in the previous year a decrease was observed, both in transported passengers and in the transport performance by 6.9 and 4.6%, respectively.
