In June 2012 the total business climate indicator decreases by 1.2 percentage points compared to its May level due to the more unfavourable business climate in the industry and the retail trade.

In May 2012 the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 348.4 thousand or by 5.0% more than in April and by 4.6% above the registered in May 2011.
Quarterly Labour Cost Index, First Quarter of 2012
Preliminary data of NSI for the First Quarter of 2012 indicated that total hourly labour cost rose by 6.2% compared to the First Quarter of 2011.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in May 2012
The consumer price index (CPI) in May 2012 compared to April 2012 was 99.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.1%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in May 2012 compared to April 2012 was 99.9%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.1%.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in April 2012
In April 2012, 1 710 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - April 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - April 2012 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 2.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 4.9 billion Levs while the imports increased by 13.3% and added up to 6.5 billion Levs.
In the first four months of 2012 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 12.3 billion Levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2011 the exports decreased by 1.7% while the total value of all imported goods reached 15.4 billion Levs and grew by 9.8%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - March 2012 (preliminary data)
In the period January - March 2012 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 4.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2011 and amounted to over 5.4 billion Levs while the imports increased by 8.9% and exceeded 6.6 billion Levs.
In March 2012 the exports to the EU increased by 1.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.0 billion Levs while the imports grew by 12.1% and added up to over 2.5 billion Levs.
Construction Production Indices in April 2012
According to the preliminary data of the NSI, in April 2012 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.2% above the level of the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in April 2012
The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted increased by 1.5% in April 2012 as compared to March 2012. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 0.3% as compared to the same month of 2011.
Gross Domestic Product for the First Quarter of 2012
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the first quarter of 2012 is 0.5% compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
