In the third quarter of 2013, the municipal authorities issued building permits for construction of 1 173 residential buildings with 3 760 dwellings, of 56 administrative buildings/offices and 1 267 other buildings. The construction of 687 residential buildings with 1 896 dwellings, of 42 administrative buildings/offices and 531 other buildings was started. 

In September 2013 compared to August 2013 an increase of the production of natural gas by 9.5% is reported. At the same time a decrease for the production of solid fuels by 9.1%, liquefied petroleum gases by - 12.5%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 8.5%, transport diesel - by 13.2%, and electricity - by 8.8% is reported.

In September 2013 compared to August 2013 an increase of the deliveries of unleaded motor gasoline by 26.3% and natural gas - by 17.3% is reported. At the same time a decrease for the deliveries of solid fuels by 8.1%, transport diesel - by 12.3% and electricity - by 7.2% is reported. No change is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases. 

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in September 2013 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the domestic prices fell by 3.5%. Total Producer Price Index did not change compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2012 the prices declined by 4.2%. 

In 2011, 7 167.1 Million BGN were allocated from the state budget to finance social protection in the country while the receipts of social protection contributions amounted to 6 661 Million BGN. 

In September 2013, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 370.9 thousand or by 11.0% above the registered in September 2012. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 52.4%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 28.4% and with professional purpose - 19.2%.
In September 2013, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 113.1 thousand which was by 2.8% above the level of September 2012. An increase was registered in the visits with holiday and recreation purpose - by 4.2% and with other purposes - by 2.7%, while these with the professional purpose decreased by 2.0%.

In October 2013 the total business climate indicator decreases by 2.1 percentage points compared to its level of the previous month, as in industry and service sector the drop of the indicator is observed (respectively by 4.6 и 3.3 percentage points). In retail trade the business climate increases by 1.6 percentage points and in construction keeps approximately its September level.  

The price of 1 decare agricultural land is 279 BGN in 2010, 398 BGN in 2011 and 547 BGN in 2012.
The average price per 1 decare rented land is 23 BGN in 2010, 30 BGN in 2011 and 34 BGN in 2012. 

The market price index of the dwellings for the third quarter of 2013 compared to the second quarter of 2013 was 99.9%, i.e. the average decrease of the market prices of the dwellings was 0.1%. 

On the basis of final data of the National Statistical Institute in 2012 the General Government Sector has reported a deficit of 592 million BGN or 0.8% of GDP.
The Government Debt of Bulgaria for 2012 is 14 388 million BGN or 18.5% of GDP. 

In 2012, the total amount of the expenditure on research and development (R&D) was 495.9 million BGN, which was by 15.5% more in comparison with the previous year. The R&D intensity amounted to 0.64% of GDP and was by 0.07 percentage points higher compared to 2011.
