Activity of Accommodation Establishments in October 2013
In October 2013, 1 898 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 67.4 thousands and the bed-places were 138.7 thousands. In comparison with October 2012 the total number of accommodation establishments increased by 6.9% and the bed-places in them - by 3.8%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in October 2013 was 717.6 thousands or by 10.3% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in October 2013 reached 33.3 million BGN or by 13.5% more compared to October 2012.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - October 2013 (preliminary data)
In the period January - October 2013 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 5.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 14.5 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 1.6% and added up to 17.0 Billion BGN.
In the period January - October 2013 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 36.4 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2012 the exports increased by 7.8% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 42.0 Billion BGN and increased by 0.9%.
Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - September 2013 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2013 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 9.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 19.5 Billion BGN while the imports from EU grew by 2.5% and added up to 22.2 Billion BGN.
In September 2013 the exports to the EU increased by 15.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.5 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 18.5% and added up to 2.8 Billion BGN.
Construction Production Indices in October 2013
According to the preliminary data, in October 2013 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.5% above the level of the previous month. The working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 7.8% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in October 2013
By preliminary seasonally adjusted data in October 2013 the turnover in Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 0.6% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in October 2013
According to preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted increased by 1.5% in October 2013 as compared to September 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 4.1% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
Gross Domestic Product for the Third Quarter of 2013
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2013 is 0.7% compared with the same quarter of 2012.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, October 2013 (preliminary data)
In October 2013 compared to September 2013 an increase of the production of solid fuels by 50.2%, liquefied petroleum gases by - 28.6%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 7.3%, transport diesel - by 10.7%, natural gas - by 8.7% and electricity - by 7.2% is reported.
In October 2013 compared to September 2013 an increase of the deliveries of solid fuels by 48.5%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 5.9%, natural gas - by 23.0% and electricity - by 12.6% is reported. At the same time a decrease for the deliveries of unleaded motor gasoline - by 10.4% and transport diesel - by 3.3% is reported.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, October 2013
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in October 2013 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the domestic prices fell by 3.9%. Total Producer Price Index went down by 0.3% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2012 the prices declined by 4.2%.
Business Conjuncture, November 2013
In November 2013 the total business climate indicator increases by 1.7 percentage points compared to its October level which is due to the more favourable business climate in industry and service sector (an increase by 4.3 and 0.9 percentage points respectively). In retail trade a decrease of the indicator is observed (by 0.6 percentage points), while in construction it remains approximately on the level from the previous month.
