Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries in 2013 (preliminary data)
In 2013 the Bulgarian exports to third countries have increased by 3.5% compared to the previous year and have amounted to 17.3 Billion BGN while the imports have decreased by 1.0% and added up to 20.3 Billion BGN.
In 2013 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) have amounted to 43.4 Billion BGN and compared to 2012 the exports have increased by 6.8% while the total value of all imported goods have added up to 50.5 Billion BGN and have increased by 1.3%.
Construction Production Indices in December 2013
According to the preliminary data, in December 2013 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.5% above the level of the previous month. The working day adjusted index of production in construction decreased by 2.8% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in December 2013
By preliminary seasonally adjusted data in December 2013 the turnover in Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in December 2013
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 1.0% in December 2013 as compared to November 2013. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index went down by 1.0% in comparison with the same month of 2012.
Consumer Survey, January 2014
In January 2014 the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 5.9 percentage points in comparison with its October 2013 level, as for the urban population the increase is 6.2 percentage points and for the rural population - 5.0 percentage points.
Building Permits Issued and Construction of New Buildings Started in the Fourth Quarter of 2013
In the fourth quarter of 2013, the municipal authorities have issued building permits for construction of 1 032 residential buildings with 3 656 dwellings, of 36 administrative buildings/offices and 1 115 other buildings. The construction of 591 residential buildings with 2 531 dwellings, of 24 administrative buildings/offices and 602 other buildings has been started.
Production and Deliveries of Energy Products, December 2013 (preliminary data)
In December 2013 compared to November 2013 an increase of the production of solid fuels - by 15.5% and electricity - by 13.2% is reported. At the same time a decrease of the production of unleaded motor gasoline - by 4.4%, transport diesel - by 18.0%, and natural gas by - 4.0% is reported. No change of the production of liquefied petroleum gases is reported.
In December 2013 compared to November 2013 an increase of the deliveries of solid fuels - by 16.6%, natural gas - by 35.5%, and electricity - by 22.1% is reported. At the same time a decrease for the deliveries of transport diesel - by 16.0% is reported. No change of the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases and unleaded motor gasoline is reported.
Producer Price Indices in Industry, December 2013
Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in December 2013 remained at the level of the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the domestic prices fell by 2.8%. Total Producer Price Index decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2012 the prices fell by 2.9%.
Business Conjuncture, January 2014
In January 2014 the total business climate indicator increases by 4.6 percentage points in comparison with the previous month due to the more favourable managers’ opinions from all observed sectors - industry, construction, retail trade and service sector.
Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in December 2013
In December 2013, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 238.2 thousand or by 2.2% under the registered in December 2012. The trips with other purposes (as guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 51.9%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 26.0% and with professional purpose - 22.1%.
In December 2013, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 405.8 thousand which was by 2.2% above the level of December 2012. An increase was registered in the visits with holiday and recreation purposes - by 5.8%, while these with professional purpose decreased by 0.5%. Only the visits with other purposes preserved the level of the corresponding month of the previous year.
