Bulgarian Trade with EU in January 2014 (preliminary data)
In January 2014 the Bulgarian exports to the EU decreased by 2.6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2.0 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 12.8% and added up to 2.3 Billion BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - February 2014 (preliminary data)
In the period January - February 2014 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 14.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 2.4 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 8.8% and added up to 3.0 Billion BGN.
In the period January - February 2014 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 6.3 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2013 the exports decreased by 5.9% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 7.8 Billion BGN and decreased by 0.3%.
Investment Activity in Industry, March 2014
According to the latest data, in 2013 the expenditures for acquiring fixed tangible and intangible assets in industry are by 6.3% more compared to 2012. However the plans of industrial enterprises in 2014 are for a decrease of investments by 6.3% in comparison with the previous year.
Activity of Accommodation Establishments in February 2014
In February 2014, 1 893 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 54.6 thousands and the bed-places were 108.8 thousands. In comparison with February 2013 the total number of accommodation establishments increased by 3.2% and the bed-places in them - by 3.8%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in February 2014 was 735.9 thousands or by 10.3% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in February 2014 reached 33.9 million BGN or by 11.1% more compared to February 2013.
Construction Production Indices in February 2014
According to the preliminary data, in February 2014 the index of production in section ‘Construction’, calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.5% above the level of the previous month. The working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 5.5% in comparison with the same month of 2013.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in February 2014
By preliminary seasonally adjusted data in February 2014 the turnover in Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles at constant prices increased by 1.0% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in February 2014
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted increased by 0.7% in February 2014 as compared to January 2014. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 6.5% in comparison with the same month of 2013.
Anti-Social Acts of Minor and Juveniles in 2013 (Preliminary Data)
According to the NSI’s preliminary data the number of minors and juveniles registered in the Child pedagogic rooms for anti-social acts and crimes commitment in 2013 was 10 536.
Homes for Medico-social Care for Children in 2013
At the end of 2013 there were 29 Homes for medico-social care for children with total capacity of 2 258 places. The process of deinstitutionalization was continued. 1 204 children were accommodated in them as of 31.12.2013. 670 of them were boys and 534 - girls.
