On November 7, 2022, the 'Statistical Surveys - Sliven' Department at RSB - Yugoiztok organized a solemn ceremony for awarding diplomas to students from the Professional High School of Economics 'Prof. Dr Dimitar Tabakov' - Sliven, winners in the statistical contest for infographics, the first of its kind in the country on the topic: 'Statistics are fun. Official statistics through the eyes of students'. Incentive prizes were presented as well for 'talking' infographics.
The event was held in the building of the Regional Administration - Sliven the hall 'Georgi Danchev'.
Mr Antony Andonov, Deputy Regional Governor of Sliven Region, Assoc. Prof. Mihail Konchev, PhD, Deputy President of the NSI, Mrs Antoaneta Ilkova, Director of the 'Multi-Domain Statistics and User Services' Directorate at the NSI, Mrs Kalina Kazandzhieva, Director of RSB - Yugoiztok, Mr Anton Georgiev, Head of the 'Statistical Surveys - Sliven' Department, Mrs Iva Taragosheva, Senior Expert in vocational education and training at the Regional Education Department - Sliven, Mr Dimitar Dobrev, Director of Professional High School of Economics 'Prof. Dr Dimitar Tabakov' - Sliven, teachers and students from the high school and representatives of RSB - Yugoiztok were present.
53 students from eighth to twelfth grade from the high school participated. They were divided into two age categories: Category A - students from classes X, XI and XII and Category B - students from classes VIII and IX.
The infographics, which the students prepared with the help of mentors - economists and IT specialists, were developed based on data published on the NSI website.
A jury chaired by Assoc. Dr Mihail Konchev, and with the participation of Mrs Antoaneta Ilkova, Mrs Kalina Kazandzhieva, Mr Anton Georgiev, Mrs Elena Kancheva, Deputy Director of the high school, and Mr Vasil Vasilev, Head of the ICT Department at the high school.
In his speech, Assoc. Dr Mihail Konchev emphasized the essential importance of such competition for popularizing statistics as a science among students.

Category B - Alexandra Pashova
Finally, Antoniy Anodnov invited the students in the Sliven Regional Administration to introduce to them the activities of the State Institution and emphasized his position that statistical data are important in the development of strategies, projects and for making important management decisions.
