Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in December 2011

The consumer price index (CPI) in December 2011 compared to November 2011 was 100.1%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.1%.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in December 2011 compared to November 2011 was 100.3%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.3%.

Industrial Production Indices in November 2011

The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index seasonally adjusted decreased by 0.4% in November 2011 as compared to October 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 0.6% as compared to the same month of 2010.

Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - November 2011 (preliminary data)

In the period January - November 2011 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 26.5% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and exceeded 13.5 billion levs while the imports increased by 21.8% and amounted to 17.1 billion levs

In the period January - November 2011 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 36.2 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2010 the exports increased by 30.6% while the total value of all imported goods was 41.0 billion levs and increased by 20.6%.

Bulgarian Trade with EU for the Period January - October 2011 (preliminary data)

In the period January - October 2011 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 33.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 20.4 billion levs while the imports increased by 21.6% and amounted to 21.4 billion levs.

In October 2011 the exports to the EU increased by 28.0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.2 billion levs while the imports increased by 29.9% and exceeded 2.6 billion levs.

Producer Price Indices in Industry, November 2011

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in November 2011 increased by 0.6% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2010 the domestic prices grew by 5.9%. Total Producer Price Index increased by 1.0% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2010 the prices went up by 6.8%.

Production and Deliveries of Energy products, September - November 2011

September 2011
The production of solid fuels in September 2011 compared to August 2011 increases by 5.5%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 22.2%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 11.9% and transport diesel - by 39.7%. The production of electricity decreases by 5.4% (Table 1).
The deliveries of solid fuels in September 2011 compared to August 2011 increase by 3.5% and liquefied petroleum gases - by 3.4%. Decrease is reported for the deliveries of unleaded motor gasoline - by 25.4%, transport diesel - by 7.7%, natural gas - by 19.6% and electricity - by 5.1% (Table 2).

October 2011
The production of solid fuels in October 2011 compared to September 2011 increases by 12.4%, transport diesel - by 15.3% and electricity - by 5.3%. The production of liquefied petroleum gases decreases by 9.1% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 4.3% (Table 1).
The deliveries of solid fuels in October 2011 compared to September 2011 increase by 14.9%, transport diesel - by 39.2%, natural gas - by 37.2% and electricity - by 16.0%. Decrease is reported for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases by 10.0% and unleaded motor gasoline - by 63.6% (Table 2).

November 2011
The production of electricity in November 2011 compared to October 2011 increases by 12.5%. The production of solid fuels decreases by 2.8%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 8.1% and transport diesel - by 28.6%. There is no change in the production of liquefied petroleum gases.
The deliveries of solid fuels in November 2011 compared to October 2011 increase by 0.2%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 18.5%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 250.0%, natural gas - by 47.1% and electricity - by 14.4%. Decrease is reported for the deliveries of transport diesel by 36.7%.
