The President of NSI Assoc. Prof. Mariana Kotzeva will take part in the sixth, the last meeting of the Sponsorship Group on Communication, which will be held on 13 and 14 October 2011 in Barcelona, Spain.
The topics for discussion at the upcoming forum are related to connection of communication aspects with other Eurostat Sponsorship groups and measuring satisfaction on the visibility of the European Statistical System (ESS).
Final editing of the end report on the work of the group will be done as well.
The Sponsorship Group on Communication was established by a mandate of the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC) with the objective to strengthen the visibility of the network of the National Statistical Institutes and Eurostat and to improve the communication in the European Statistical System. It is co-chaired by the President of the National Statistics Institute of Spain, Jaume Garcia Villar, and Eurostat Director of Directorate D “External cooperation, communication and key indicators”, Pieter Everaers. Participant countries in this group are Spain, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Sweden, Romania, France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as well as Eurostat.
NSI hosted the previous fifth meeting of the group, held in May this year in Sofia.
