The National Statistical Institute has developed a specialized website for the Census of the Population and Housing in Bulgaria in 2011.
At /census2011/ information can be found about the legislation and the census methodology, the history of censuses in Bulgaria from 1880 till today, as well as links to the EUROSTAT website on data from censuses in other EU Member States.
In the website users will also find answers to frequently asked questions related to the census – why is it necessary to make a census, how is it made and how is personal data protected, what kind of questions are included in the questionnaire, will the Bulgarian citizens living abroad and foreigners living in Bulgaria also be included in the census, and so on.
The “E-census” section will guide to the information system of the e-census and the instructions for completing the census questionnaires.
The results from the large-scale survey will be published on the website of the Census and information will be updated daily.
