In January 2025, the National Statistical Institute started work on the project ‘Statistics on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) 2025’ in accordance with Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 1011197277 - 2024-BG-ICT.
The aim of the project is to provide reliable and internationally comparable data on the development and use of ICT among the population and businesses in 2025, which are not included in the mandatory scope of European regulations in the field, and to provide data on selected indicators for an additional age group 75 - 89 years.
The project activities will be organized into two work packages:
- Work Package 1: Statistics on the usage of ICT in enterprises 2025;
- Work Package 2: Statistics on the use of ICT in households and by individuals 2025.
The results will provide valuable input for the development of EU digitalization policies.
The project duration is 16 months and it will be completed in April 2026.
