‘2025 EU-LFS eight-yearly variables on ‘reconciliation of work and family life’ project

The National Statistical Institute has started work on the ‘2025 EU-LFS eight-yearly variables on ‘reconciliation of work and family life’ project. The implementation of the project is according to the Grant Agreement with the European Commission No. 101190819-2024-BG-LFS.

The additional variables on ‘reconciliation of work and family life’ are included in the regular 2025 Labour Force Survey following the requirements of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2447 of 30 September 2022 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2312 of 25 November 2022.

The aim of the 2025 LFS project is to provide more detailed and comparable at the EU level information on the childcare, care for relatives who are ill, frail or with disabilities, flexibility of work arrangements and career breaks. The results will provide valuable input for developing of EU policies in the field.

The project duration is 22 months, ending in May 2026.
