The President of the National Statistical Institute - Assoc. Prof. Atanas Atanasov, PhD, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina in Bulgaria - His Excellency Mr Alfredo Atanasof, who is of Bulgarian origin.
The leader of the embassy’s “Commercial Promotion” section Mr Juan Ignacio Camio Babasso and the NSI Deputy President - Mr Svilen Kolev, PhD, were also present at the meeting.
The guests pointed out that they find statistics on population and demographic processes, business statistics and macroeconomic indicators especially useful. On the other hand, the NSI President shared that he is strongly committed to providing the Argentina representatives with up-to-date statistical information.
During the meeting, H. E. Mr Atanasof emphasized that the diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Argentina have a 90-year history. He also expressed his professional fulfillment about his diplomatic mission in Bulgaria and his satisfaction in regard to the joint work with the NSI.
