In the period 15 - 17 November 2017, the National Statistical Institute hosts a three-day training, where experts from Methodological and Training Centre Directorate are acquainting their Macedonian colleagues with the Bulgarian experience in the field of quality management within the NSI. The training is carrying out in the framework of IPA 2014 Multi-Beneficiary Statistical Co-operation Programme. The following participants from the State Statistical Office of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia are attending the training: Mr. Zirap Ademi, Deputy President and Ms. Mira Todorova, Assistant to the Director of IT Support Directorate. At the training the participants on behalf of the NSI are as follows: Mr. Bogdan Bogdanov, PhD, Deputy President of the NSI, Mr. Valentin Chavdarov, Director of “Methodological and Training Centre” Directorate, Mrs. Galya Stateva, state expert in “General methodology and analysis of statistical surveys” Department and Mrs. Veneta Petrova, Head of “Planning, Projects and Coordination” Department.
During the training process, the following main topics are subject of discussion:
• The National Statistical System of the Republic of Bulgaria and the quality assurance framework
• Bulgarian experience in the quality management system
• National version of GSBPM 5.0 and quality indicators by process phases
• Implementation of SIMS 2.0 in national statistical practice
• Quality reports in ESQRS format and guide to their preparation
• IT tool for production and storage of national metadata
• Internal quality audit within the NSI
• NSI’s good practices for improving the quality of statistical information at regional level
• Implementation of ISO 9001: 2015 at the NSI’s Head office and at the RSOs
• The experience of Bulgaria in conducting the Peer Review in 2014.
The visit contributes to strengthen the good relations between both Statistical offices and is a prerequisite for further development of cooperation between them.
