NSI has started a project entitled “Learning mobility” implemented in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 07151.2013.001-2013.557. The main activity of the project is the pilot collection of data on learning mobility through a household survey conducted in 2014. The target population consists of all persons aged 18-34 who during their studies have had a minimum training period of two weeks abroad.
The general objective of the project is to develop and improve the availability and comparability of statistics on learning mobility at EU level. In particular the aim of the 2014 pilot data collection on initial vocational education and training (IVET) mobility and on the general youth mobility indicator is to answer the following questions:
- How many graduates with vocational qualification aged 18-34 have experienced learning mobility during their IVET studies?
- How many young people aged 18-34 have experienced any type of learning mobility?
- How many students and graduates from tertiary education have had a period of studies abroad?
The duration of the project is 15 months and it will be completed in May 2015.
