The Report on the implementation of the National Statistical Programme (NSP) and the activities of the National Institute of Statistics in 2013 has been developed in accordance with Art. 9, Para 6 of the Statistics Act. The report presents the implementation of the tasks of the national statistical programs and activities of the National Statistical Institute and other Bodies of Statistics in 2013.
Special attention is paid to the latest research and activities conducted last year for the first time. Described are the results of the implementation of horizontal priorities set out in the Strategy for Development of NSS 2013 - 2017, as well as the activities carried out in the production of statistics in different thematic areas - demographic and social statistics, macroeconomic statistics, business statistics, statistics of diversified agriculture and forestry. Presented is also a resource provision of the National Statistical Institute.
The National Statistical Programme for 2014 has been developed in accordance with Chapter III of the Statistics Act. The program includes a plan of the NSI activities and plans for the statistical activities of the Bodies of Statistics.
In order to meet the needs of users of statistical information the NSP 2014 includes new research and activities that reflect European priorities set out in the Annual European Statistical Program for 2014 and the European Statistical Programme for the period 2013-2017, as well as the national priorities identified in the Strategy for Development of the National Statistical System of the Republic of Bulgaria in the period 2013 - 2017.
