NSI has started a project “Statistics on the information society 2014” implemented in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 06163.2013.003-2013.476. The project includes conducting of two separate surveys – “Survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals” and “Survey on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises”. The surveys will be carried out in compliance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 859/2013of 5 September 2013 implementing Regulation (EC) № 808/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning Community statistics on the information society and will be held simultaneously in all member states - states the European Union, with a common methodology that will ensure international comparability of results.
Data on the development of the information society among the population and the business: internet access, ICT usage, e-Commerce and e-Government will be provided. For the first time the cloud computing’s usage and dissemination will be observed.
The duration of the project is 12 months and it will be completed in December 2014. The main results will be published on the NSI’s website.
