On 2-4 April, 2013, the National Statistical Institute provides expertise in the field of business demography for the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia. The visit is funded by IPA 2011 Multi-Beneficiary Statistical Co-operation Programme (IPA 2011). During the three-day visit, Mr Anastas Troianski, Head of the "Business Registers" Department, will give a basic overview of the business demography methodology, type of business demography events and description of the sources used, quality evaluation of the data and confidentiality issues. The assessment of progress achieved will be made and further steps in the development of this statistical field will be developed with a view to full compliance with the acquis and in particular the implementation of Annex IX for business demography of Regulation 295/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of Structural Business Statistics.
