NSI experts train statisticians from the Republic of Macedonia

On 10 and 11 December 2012, experts from the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia are visiting the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria. The aim of the study visit is to obtain knowledge and benefit from the NSI experience on the implementation of EU legislation in the field of statistics. The visit is funded by the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance of the European Commission (IPA 2009).
Experts from the NSI directorates “Business Statistics" and "Demographic and Social Statistics" will share the Bulgarian experience in the field of R&D and innovation statistics, statistics of education and social protection statistics. The national surveys R&D and Innovations, recommendations for the implementation of the International Classification of Education (ISCED 2011), data collection on students’ credit mobility, social protection schemes in Bulgaria, benefits and aids for social protection and the relevant statistical data on the revenues and costs will be presented as well. Additional discussions will be focused on data processing, data validation and provision of data to Eurostat.
The study visit of the Macedonian delegation is a continuation of the good bilateral relations between the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria and the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia and will contribute to their further development.
