NSI - partner in strategic international project for managing migration in South East Europe

The National statistical institute is a partner to „Managing migration and its effects in South-East Europe - transnational actions towards evidence based strategies” project (SEEMIG), which is realized by the Transnational Cooperation Programme “South East Europe 2007 - 2013" (http://www.southeast-europe.net/hu/).
The project duration is 30 months (June 2012 - November 2014) and the implementation is from international consortium under the Hungarian Central Statistical office leadership. SEEMIG partners are research institutes, universities, statistical offices and local government bodies from eight countries (Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia).
The main goal of the project is the demographic and migration processes study in South East Europe countries and their effect on the labour market. The project results will contribute in the development of strategies and national and regional policies in this field.
