The President of NSI assoc. prof. Mariana Kotzeva participated in "National Reform Programme of Bulgaria (2011 - 2015)” public discussion

On March 28, 2011 the Council of Ministers held public discussion on the latest version of the "National Reform Programme of Bulgaria (2011 - 2015)", in pursuance of the strategy "Europe 2020", in which President of NSI Assoc. prof. Mariana Kotzeva participated. The meeting was attended by representatives of public administration, social partners, NGOs, local government, academia, which participated in drafting the National Reform Programme. The draft of this strategic document is a subject to public debate in order to achieve greater transparency and consolidation of the views of all stakeholders to the drafting of the final variant.
In the Program it is written that the National Statistics Institute bears the commitment to provide regularly official statistical information on indicators to measure progress in implementing the objectives and the reforms stipulated in the National Reform Programme. Information will be posted on the website of the NSI and will form the basis for the preparation of quarterly and annual reports of the National Coordinator for Europe 2020 strategy. NSI through its representatives in the Working Group 31 "Europe 2020 to the Council for European Affairs will continue to provide methodological support in the development, production and dissemination of statistical information to institutions involved in the mechanism for monitoring progress in accordance with the principles of the European Code of statistical practice.
