At the fourth meeting of the Partnership Group, which will be held on 10th December 2010 in Dublin, will be addressed some key to the development of the European Statistical System documents, including review of the progress on the implementation of the Hague Action Plan and the activities of the Sponsorship groups on quality and communication. Suggestions from the Member States on potential topics for the Conference of the Directors General of the National Statistical Institutes of the EU Member States (DGINS) in 2011 (Wiesbaden, Germany) will be considered. The proposal for establishing Sponsorship Group on Standardization of statistical methods and processes and its mandate – a major task in The Hague Action Plan, will be discussed. A paper on the issue of creating a Masters in Official Statistics within the European Statistical System will be presented for discussion. A lively discussion on the choice of priorities for the development of European Statistics in 2012 is expected.
The participants in the Meeting will be introduced to the development of legislative dossiers during the Belgian Presidency and the Hungarian President will present the Action plan of the Hungarian Presidency for the period 1st January – 30th June 2011.
Mr. Gary O’Hanlon – Chairman of the Statistical Office of Ireland will review the activities of the Partnership group for the two years during which he was chairman. In 2011 the Partnership Group will be chaired by France for a period of two years.
